How to Make Your Own Skin Tones – Color Theory

A great tutorial by Kujo Painting showing how to mix your own colors for realistic skin tones. He covers a bit of color theory and gives some great demonstrations.

Using a simple colour theory trick I show you how to easily create your own skin tones from primary colours. I start with the basics demonstrating how to get a basic skin tone, then I show all the problems you’re likely to come up against while create your own skin colours including a simple system to correct your errors.

I then show how to paint darker skin tones before finally ending on a more advanced approach which covers the use of complementary colours in order to create interesting colour palettes you can use in your own miniature painting projects.
